The selected candidate will perform the following duties along with other duties as assigned: The Houston Health Department is seeking a Management Analyst II to administer, research and analyze financial and operating activities and procedures. This position will also evaluate findings and assist in preparing specific financial and management reports.RESPONSIBILITIES:+ Research, analyze, and monitor various covid-19 trends and quantitative and qualitative reports.+ Develop, prepare, and evaluate outreach, community engagement, and health education activities.+ Reports and visualize data.+ Identifies and implements solutions and systems necessary to optimize results and impact.+ Perform evaluation activities including but not limited to collecting and managing data, preparing reports, and participating in quality assurance activities.+ Conducts data audits, fidelity checks, point in time surveys, and/or needs assessments to identify and document specific planning and health education operations gaps.+ Develop surveys, questionnaires, and various tools to evaluate outreach and health education activities.+ Prepare training material for data management systems and conduct user training for staff and contractors. Performs training in related subject matters.+ May prepare documentation on data systems and write user procedures, flow charts and logic models.+ Maintain close working relationships with internal staff, community-based and private sector organizations to coordinate and perform quantitative and qualitative data activities. + Utilize various inter-disciplinary, communication and marketing techniques to translate, promote and disseminate actionable health and wellness data and advocate for health equity.Performs other duties and special projects as requested. WORKING CONDITIONSThe position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSRequires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a field directly related to the job. Substitutions: Four (4) years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement. An Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a closely related field and two (2) years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement. A Master’s degree in a field directly related to the job may substitute for two (2) years of the above experience requirement.
