Senior Sales & Marketing Operations Analyst - Salesforce (Remote)

Job Description




NCQA is seeking a resourceful and growth-focused Sr. Sales & Marketing Operations Analyst to drive sales enablement and data insights that support sales effectiveness and growth.

The Sr. Sales & Marketing Operations Analyst is a key player in the success of our sales and marketing teams by developing well-structured sales processes, analyzing team performance, using data to drive Sales and Marketing decision-making and reporting results within the organization. This role will consult with Sales & Marketing to effectively leverage the Salesforce platform & data in and out of Salesforce. You will provide day-to-day support for the Sales & Marketing teams while partnering with key internal resources to define the evolution of the sales workflows & reporting.

This role will wear many hats – improving sales process, developing workflows in Salesforce, reporting and analytics – so we are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial-minded person that can roll up their sleeves and get things done.

You will be reporting to the Director of Business Development and directly supporting the sales and marketing teams. We need someone who is enthusiastic about continuous improvement and tenacious enough to make things happen. B2B experience in healthcare, technology, professional services or a similar field is required.

Job Duties

Salesforce and Sales Enablement

  • Identify opportunities for Sales and Marketing to become more efficient and effective by improving workflows or optimizing data.
  • Partner with marketing and sales leadership to identify opportunities to create business value leveraging the Salesforce platform and business intelligence.
  • Help find sales optimizations by ensuring Salesforce workflows support goals and actions of the sales team.
  • Define needs by interpreting the business’s requirements, leads requirements gathering sessions and design for new Sales & Marketing Salesforce initiatives. Documents user stories for development initiatives.
  • Based on needs, develop formula fields, workflows, custom views in Improve processes to make Sales & Marketing more effective. Support training and implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Collaborates with Sales & Marketing to collect data from Salesforce and other sources to enable the business to be more proactive with competitive strategies and targeted sales opportunities.
  • Works with business and technology leaders to further define future Salesforce initiatives needed within the organization.
  • Use Marketing Cloud Connect to pass data between Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Identify technologies to become part of the sales and marketing tech stacks.

  • Train sales team on best practices and use of Salesforce.
  • Data Management/List Building

  • Identify data and reporting opportunities based on organizational, Sales and Marketing goals.
  • Build and manage Sales and Marketing prospect list, stakeholder maps and other data points that help the team successfully sell.
  • Support data collection efforts and work with IT to identify best way to store, manage and access customer sales and marketing data.
  • Ensure best practices are in place for landing pages and other data capture mechanisms to integrate with Salesforce.

  • Reporting

  • Analyze and visualize data (metrics, trends, insights, opportunities, and risks) via reports and dashboards to inform strategic decision making.
  • Develop customized dashboards, reports and processes within Salesforce and other medium (e.g. Power BI) to improve visibility to activities, pipeline and forecast.
  • Work across teams and use data to answer key business questions, building specifications for relevant data sets as required.
  • Produce monthly sales and marketing report for leadership.
  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the necessary requirements of this position).
  • 5+ years as a Sales/Marketing Operations or Business Analyst or key business role with robust analytical skills. 7+ years preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator experience.
  • Salesforce and/or Power BI certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Skills

  • Extensive work in CRM, including infrastructure and report development.
  • Data-driven and analytical.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform. The ability to build custom objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate data into business information.
  • Experience working/integrating with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Cloud Connect.
  • Power BI or Tableau knowledge preferred.
  • SQL experience preferred.
