Job DescriptionBGM is seeking a Sales Marketing Manager. This hire will play a critical role in positioning BGM products & services as a ?must buy? for advertising customers looking for modern, creative & meaningful marketing solutions. The Sales Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales marketing strategies for existing and potential BGM customers. Our customers include brand marketers as well as the advertising agencies overseeing the strategic planning and buying of media on behalf of brands. The Sales Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of Integrated Marketing.Key Responsibilities+ Oversee the execution of marketing tactics, including but not limited to: email deployment, published thought leadership pieces, award submissions, customer/client events, sales marketing collateral etc.+ Act as a liaison between our Sales team, our content studio (Studio/B), Events team and our GM of Newsroom Initiatives to help develop exciting, integrated marketing materials for our prospective customers+ Assist in the development of an annual B2B marketing strategy & the corresponding marketing tactics that ladder up to the broader strategy. This role will also develop a system to track the effectiveness of B2B marketing activities and provide recommendations based off reliable data .+ Ownership of a marketing activity calendar & marketing budgets+ Partner with existing creative services (i.e. Studio/B) and/or external services (i.e. creative freelancers) to develop a consistent look and feel for the BGM brand, across all of our marketing collateral+ Establish yourself as the gatekeeper for the BGM brand; ensure that all outbound marketing materials have a consistent look and feel, as well as a uniform brand personality/toneQualifications+ 4+ years work experience in a sales marketing capacity+ Comfortable working hands on with sales marketing platforms & tools to drive leads, customer retention (ex: email marketing, social media, website, events etc.)+ Strong written and verbal communications skills+ Fluency in the google suite platform of products (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, etc.)You are the ideal candidate if you:+ Are passionate about marketing & have a natural curiosity to solve problems in creative ways + Have an uncanny ability to balance multiple projects, but also have foresight to prioritize tasks based on which will have the most immediate impact+ Are a heavy consumer of multimedia platforms and have a strong point of view on what the future of media consumption might look like+ Believe strongly in the importance & value of journalism+ Has a willingness to adapt, be audience focused with a curious mindset and committed to creating an inclusive work environmentEEO Statement:Boston Globe Media is an equal employment opportunity employer, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, national origin, citizenship or any other protected characteristic.
