Senior Director, Direct Response Marketing


The Senior Director, Direct Response Creative Marketing is responsible for the strategic development, oversight and execution of effective marketing strategies and tactics designed to drive customer response and overall customer growth. This position requires a seasoned marketing professional who can design and create content to drive Spectrum product sales and positively impact consumer perception of the Spectrum brand. Emphasis is on leading the creative development work for Direct Response campaigns and projects from inception to completion, including post campaign analysis and actionable recommendations for future in-market efforts. The Senior Director, Direct Response Marketing must be a versatile communicator, skilled at maximizing results through successful collaboration with key partners and stakeholder organizations, including Sales, Operations, Finance and other marketing teams. The Senior Director is accountable for the creative execution of marketing tactics including Direct Mail, Direct Response TV, digital video and display, print, and email as well as the financial effectiveness of marketing initiatives and performance. The individual must be highly efficient, a strong solutions-based thinker and data-driven in decision-making, with a strong track record of developing and executing strategic marketing plans, leading and holding creative agencies accountable and managing and executing creative marketing projects.

Overall responsibility for developing, testing and implementing proven direct marketing programs that grow and retain subscribers.

Manage agencies to develop and execute multi-tactic campaigns including direct mail, email, Print and DRTV

Lead the planning and execution of strategy, tactics and measurement for acquisition and upgrade marketing campaigns enterprise wide to drive sales and results across all product lines.

Work with cross-functional teams including Brand Creative, Digital Marketing, Media and Direct Marketing to develop and execute marketing plans.

Leverages post campaign analysis to identify campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Thoroughly understand the functional aspects of our products and formulate the value proposition for the consumer

Perform other related projects and duties as assigned or requested.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Master’s degree in related area of study preferred

Work Experience
  • 10+ years industry experience in consumer technology or related industries
  • Direct Response experience including overseeing major multi-channel campaigns
  • Strong agency management skills and strong interdepartmental collaboration abilities
  • Management or account team leadership experience
  • Extensive experience in translating consumer insights into actionable messaging/communication plans.
  • Experience managing national Direct Response programs/campaigns at strategic and creative levels
