Senior Marketing Technology Manager

Job Description


The Marketing Technology team is part of the Marketing Operations group. Marketing Operations is responsible for driving the strategy and planning for the Vonage Marketing organization. We lead goal setting and performance management that drives a positive ROI for all marketing spend. We also are responsible for the MarTech architecture, all the data they produce, and the processes they enable. The Senior Marketing Technology Manager will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to deploy technologies that drive marketing results. We are seeking a candidate that has the right mix of inquisitiveness and technical aptitude to assist our business stakeholders’ quest for enhancing the prospect and customer experience by improving alignment and enabling data-driven decisions. This role is expected to leverage technology to streamline processes, alleviate bottlenecks, provide data for meaningful insights, and optimize campaign execution every step of the way.


What you will do

  • As an individual contributor, work cross-functionally to identify strategic marketing and sales goals.
  • Optimize & integrate the marketing technology stack.
  • Manage prioritization and governance of technology projects with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Define the features and benefits of technology solutions and ensure they are properly communicated to all project stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging technology and strategies used to support the customer experience and present findings on a regular basis.
  • Research and evaluate vendors to fit identified requirements.
  • Write product requirements for marketing systems that support day-to-day business needs, innovation opportunities and/or integration requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing solution stack, focusing on full adoption. The solutions must be fine-tuned to support the business with keen attention to continuous improvement.
  • Vendor & IT relationship management.

  • Provide leadership and guidance for business leads and super users.
  • Interpret business needs to solution requirements and take initiative in identifying critical needs and possible solutions before they may even be known.
  • Establish strong relationships with business and project stakeholders to ensure that business goals are met.
  • Prior product management & business systems analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of IT solutions with a foundational awareness of: Business intelligence, visualization, data structures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills spanning business and technical audiences.
  • Practical experience with CRM and Marketing Automation solutions.

What's required for application

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience (5+ years) in a Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, or related position
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional matrixed organizations
