job summary:
In this position the qualified candidate will provide technical guidance to our client's service sales and customer support staff. Responsibilities will include making recommendations for sales proposals, managing trouble call escalation, evaluation and coordination of repair efforts or sales projects.

As a Technical Sales Support Representative, you will work with OEM and 3rd Party Service Providers to assure timely and accurate solutions for our customer technical inquiries. Candidate would be responsible for assessing equipment status, collecting technical information and provide basic mitigation services via phone or through coordinated efforts with service management and our client's business partners. Ultimately, you will be a person our customers trust and rely upon to provide timely

and accurate solutions to their technical problems.

Complete detailed reports listing requests for technical assistance, steps required or taken to resolve specific dates/individuals involvedAct as the technical point of contact for UPS system related concerns from clients, sales team or other customer support employeesAssist management in creating training materials and conducting training pertaining to UPS operation, troubleshooting and support.Organize and file documentation pertaining to warranties, instructional guides and customer hardware details and maintenance efforts.Maintain a working log detailing repair efforts and activities.Attend in-person or on-line meetings with clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems.  

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls or a related technology field is preferred.Industry-specific hardware training in support of power generation and distribution to include generators, circuit breakers and uninterruptible power systems.2-3 years of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical maintenance, repair and troubleshooting. Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clientsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks or projects efficientlyTechnical writing and training experience is beneficialTime-management skills and ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.Ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally on short notice and requiring overnight stays. Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
