Description

Our client, an iconic entertainment company located in the heart of Hollywood, is looking for an HR Generalist to join their team. You will report into the Director of HR and help with all transactional aspects of HR. This firm has roughly 65 employees. You will be responsible for benefits administration, processing deal memos, onboarding and offboarding, assisting with open enrollment (starts October) and various other tasks. Previous experience with ADP is a plus. This is an onsite role that requires vaccination and the hours are 9-6. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask. This is a temporary position to cross train with the former employee who is leaving after 15 years with the organization. If the fit is right, you may be considered for hire and the salary range is $55-$65K plus excellent benefits. This firm does offer four weeks of remote work flexibility once full time.


What you get to do every single day


- Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)


- Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors


- Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews


- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations


- Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department


- Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations


- Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections


- Draft templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook


- Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters


- Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite


- Differentiate local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures


- Work with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees



Requirements

- Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects

- Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus

- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

- Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws

- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis

- The ideal hire for this role is highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity

- Excellent written and verbal business skills

- Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms

- Experience with full cycle recruiting

- Prior HR Generalist experience
