Job Summary Augusta University College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs position. We are the states flagship nursing program, enrolling more than 1000 students on two campuses and at numerous academic-practice partner sites. The College of Nursing, an integral component of the University System of Georgia is part of the states only publicly-funded comprehensive academic health science center including schools of medicine, dentistry, and allied health sciences.

The College of Nursing is adjacent to Augusta University Medical Center, Childrens Hospital of Georgia, Georgia Cancer Center, and the Veterans Administration Medical Center, providing ample opportunity for clinical experiences for students and faculty. Additionally, the college has a thriving Nurse-Managed Health Center, affording additional clinical practice and teaching opportunities focused on primary care, telehealth and behavioral health. The college offers the full degree spectrum including BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD programs.

The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs provides leadership and vision in the development, implementation, and evaluation of pre-licensure and Doctor of Nursing Practice academic programs in the College of Nursing. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs has key responsibilities with regard to College of Nursing programmatic accreditation. The position is part of the College of Nursing Administrative Team and reports directly to the Dean.

This position directly supervises the Department Chair of Prelicensure Programs and the Department Chair of DNP Programs. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will work closely with the Associate Dean for Student Affairs. This is a new position that was created subsequent to a College of Nursing reorganization. Required Qualifications
* Education al

* Doctorate degree in Nursing

* Required Experience
* Active license to practice nursing in the state of Georgia ibility requirements to apply for a nursing license in the state of Georgia.

Academic teaching, administrative and leadership experience with both prelicensure and graduate programs

Experience with Commission on Collegiate Nursing

Education (CCNE) accreditation

Experience with technology-infused engaging pedagogical strategies

Evidence of contribution to the profession and recognition l

Expert written and verbal communication skills

Background commensurate with the Associate Professor level or above.
