Position Summary:The Creative Director (Copywriter) is responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality creative work for the client by providing leadership and creative direction to creative staff and representing the agency’s creative viewpoint to client and production partners.Internally, they will inspire the agency to continually raise the bar on innovation, creativity, and imagination for all work produced. They must have knowledge of and a passion for interactive design, digital content/brand development, user experience, social media, mobile and emerging platforms, and new technologies. The ideal candidate conceptualizes in the digital world and will have previously driven the creative vision at digital/integrated agencies.Accountabilities:Oversees the copywriting practice on Digital Team.Supervises and evaluates the creative work completed by teams under their supervision.Partners with Creative Director (Art Director) to give creative direction on site, video content and CRM.Presents creative to Group Creative Director and clients for approval.Recommends, selects, and supervises production partners to achieve creative vision.Attends and participates in production/post-production by representing agency interests and creative viewpoint and insuring quality standards are met.Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and talent, and competitive work in the category and for the target audiences of the client.Required SkillsRequired ExperienceBachelor’s degree in related field preferred.Seven or more years in related field.Client experience in automotive industry.Leadership experience in managing creatives and their development process. Develops concepts and collaborates with the production team as needed.Builds relationships with appropriate agency creative leads.Works productively and harmoniously as a teammate with Copywriters and production/producers who share the responsibility on the given assignment.Collaborates with Copywriter and Information Architects in concepting and ideation.Presents concepts to other departments if necessary and revises concepts according to comments.Updates recommendations based on any client comments and shares approved recommendations with all departments.Works with CAOR on creative needs.Gives input when images are scanned for high resolution and retouching.Meets with project management to review work in progress and selects desired concepts.Submits work to senior leadership for review and approval.
