The Citadel of Northbrook - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program The Citadel of Northbrook has a long and successful history of providing long and short-term skilled nursing care. In order to ensure we have top notch staff; The Citadel of Northbrook is offering a paid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. By training our own aides, we can guarantee that CNAs are properly trained and given all the tools and resources needed to succeed. Applicants will be employed as Resident Assistant at the Citadel of Northbrook until they meet the requirements of becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Upon completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program and CNA exam, applicants will then transition from Resident Assistants to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) at The Citadel of Northbrook. By joining our team and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, we will personally train you to become part of one of the leading nursing facilities in the area. As a Certified Nursing Assistant student with The Citadel of Northbrook, you will be able to touch the lives of countless residents and families, while furthering your education. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) responsibilities that will be taught through our program: Turning and moving patients Proper usage of medical supplies Bathing patients Grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving them, etc. Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate Assisting residents with changing and toileting Answering patient call lights Assisting with other various patient needs Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program Requirements: Excellent patient care and customer service skills Enjoy working with seniors Have excellent work ethics Must be able to work in collaboration with the nursing team Solid work history which reflects longevity in the workplace Background Check Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program Includes: Paid CNA class work Paid fieldwork as a Resident Assistant during the CNA program Preparation for the State of Illinois CNA Exam Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at The Citadel of Northbrook upon completion of the CNA exam We offer a competitive hourly rate, a great working environment, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff Citadel Healthcare has been nominated as a Great Place to Work.
